Massage Treatments

“What style of massage do you offer?”   

I still don’t know how to answer this question!  Most people’s sessions involve some massage and some Sukshma Marma Therapy, and sometimes some stretches or specific yoga based exercises. You don’t need to choose a specific massage treatment in advance*, just book the time and we discuss what you need on the day.  For many people just having the regular ‘time out’ is the most important thing.

Why book a session?

  • For relaxation & wellbeing, for the ‘time-out’ and as part of your regular self-help health care routine
  • To ease the stresses, tensions, discomforts and tiredness, both physical and mental, that build up as a part of life
  • To switch off, unwind and undo.  
  • To help with specific muscle and joint problems – back ache, neck pain, tight shoulders, niggly hips ….
  • As a complement to sports and yoga practice, or as a complement to other treatments such as physio and chiropractic

I first qualified in 2001 in traditional ‘Swedish’ body massage and I’ve continued to train ever since – some short practical courses, some longer with plenty of theory. Over the years I’ve found a small number of great teachers who I continue to train with year in year out, most of them also therapist/yoga teachers with a wealth of experience to pass on as well as theory and practical skills.
